Trichocereus Terscheckii 'Cactus Country' ~*

This one comes from Cactus Country in northern Victoria. Wasn't in the best shape when I got it but will be fine. Is very dehydrated and not looking the best. Will be fine though. The mother plant is an absolute stunner. This is the clone from which the Terscheckii x Bridgesii that are getting about came from. Has been called Terscheckiinot although I believe it matches some of the Terscheckii pictures I've seen in habitat, although it could be a hybrid. Very nice plant regardless.

  1. Been a great deal of time since I've seen that cutting and its fantastic to see tricho vigor prevail to keep that plant going through a tough period and back to health. Could very well be a hybrid as so many aussie plants are but im in agreement with you. There are enough similarities with "true" terschk that this plant passes ID easily especially if you see the motherplant the clone was cut from. The main contention against was the. Clumping which was really just some basal pupping (approx 3) and spination..... Flowers (accepted key for ID generally), size/girth and overall appearance were terschk oid. Perhaps giving it a "J " and assigned a number this particular clone may have gained the recognition it deserved! Hope you have been getting flowers and breeding.
