Trichocereus Chamaecereus 'Yellow' ~*

Trichocereus Chamacereus also known as the Peanut Cactus is from Tucuman, Argentina. Is a small clumping cactus with red flowers. This is a popular cultivar that has no chlorophyll, which makes this plant yellow. No chlorophyll also means this plant can't make its own food and so must be grafted onto another cactus with chlorophyll in order to survive. I got this from Big W (a department store) in a little planter with a 4 ribbed Scopulicola and a Mammillaria. Cool little cacti, might have to graft it onto some longer lived stock at some stage. ~*
